Rev. Jen Ryerson
Pastor of Women's Ministry
Jen is a native of Pennsylvania with a sweet tooth for all things Hershey's chocolate. She graduated from Empire Beauty School, where she obtained a license to practice Cosmetology. Later, she earned her Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.
Family: Jen is grateful to share her life with her high school sweetheart, Dan. They have been married for twenty-five years and have four wonderful children who make their world a better place.
Fun: Put a pickleball paddle in Jen's hand, and she will be happy. Her best idea of fun is anything with her family. When feeling energetic, she will gather her family together for pizza and a game of Dutch Blitz (which usually becomes highly competitive). In her quiet time, you'll find her with a book in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.
Scripture: In Mark 5, verse 41, Jesus takes a young girl by the hand and says to her lifeless body, “Talitha Koum!” Immediately, the girl is resurrected, to everyone’s amazement and joy. Mark interprets the phrase in scripture as meaning, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!” Everyone who comes to faith in Jesus has to be awakened. Just like this little girl, Jesus speaks these life-giving words to us, and the grave releases its grasp. Glory be!
