Community Groups

Two important core values of Christ Church are to be "Biblically anchored" and to live in "intentional community." Our primary way of living out these values is through home based community groups. Community groups consist of around 10-12 people meeting weekly and focusing on growing in their relationship to Jesus through the Bible and through community.

Christ Church community groups will be studying The Gospel of John: Jesus, Our Great Deliverer. Why the Gospel of John? Our mission at Christ Church is to love Christ and to love like Christ. John’s Gospel reveals the depths of God’s love for us in Jesus Christ and God’s determination to deliver us from death to life, from spiritual blindness to sight, from darkness to light, and from despair to hope.  Such great deliverance comes from great sacrifice flowing out of Christ’s great love. As Jesus said, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (Jn 15:13, NLT). As we know God and His love for us more deeply through a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, we more fully understand what it means to love Christ and love like Christ.  John’s Gospel encourages us to have a deeper relationship with Christ and challenges us to love as He loves.

Community groups will begin meeting the week of January 14 continuing through mid-April. If you have any questions or need more information about community groups, email Pastor Steve at .
